Current task

I work as a post-doc researcher in the Pollution effects group. I’m involved in projects where the accumulation and biological effects of hazardous substances in Baltic Sea marine organisms are investigated.

Background

I have a PhD degree in marine biology from the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki. My dissertation topic was “Biological effects of contaminants in Mussels (Mytilus trossulus) transplanted in Northern Baltic Sea coastal areas”. My MSc degree is from the University of Turku in animal physiology. I have also international scientific diver license (Advanced European Scientific Diver).
