BLUEWEBS is structured into 6 highly connected Work-Packages (WPs):

WP1 will determine past and recent states in Baltic Sea ecosystems applying advanced statistical techniques to evaluate the structure and function of food webs using existing monitoring data.
WP leader: Marie Nordström, Åbo Akademi University.

WP2 will project scenarios of food web change using adapted and modified model systems based on results of WP1.
WP leader: Bärbel Müller-Karulis, Baltic Sea Centre, Stockholm University.

WP3 will quantify ecosystem service provision by case study food webs using bio-economic methodology for scenarios from WP2.
WP leader: Rüdiger Voss, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.

WP4 will assess GES and BG potential by synthesizing the results from WPs 1-3.
WP leader: Thorsten Blenckner, Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University.

WP5 will facilitate the transdisciplinary integration using a variety of social science techniques.
