“In this webinar, we present the channels and significance of the connection between science and decision-making in the European Union's biodiversity policy, and we hear good practices on how to bring researched information to support political decision-making”, says Eeva Furman, Director for the Centre for Environmental Policy at Finnish Environment Institute.
“At the event, we will get to the interface between research and decision-making in Europe and we will also hear experiences from other sectors that make intensive use of research", says research director Eeva Primmer at Finnish Environment Institute.
SYKE is an active participant in the European Alternet network, where natural and social science researchers from 21 European countries share their knowledge and ideas of biodiversity and ecosystems to create a platform for meaningful communication with policy-makers and the public.
