The idea promoter ‘Yllätetään yhteiskunta’ (‘Let’s surprise society’) wants good practices to go around in Finland. The Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and the HINKU municipalities aiming at carbon neutrality are involved in the Grand Jam idea auction with the theme of bringing solar power to apartment buildings. It has been suggested to the HINKU municipalities that they identify potential solar power sites in each municipality and offer housing companies expert support in the transition to renewable energy.
