In the sea areas of Finland, blue-green algae have been observed in the coastal areas of Virolahti, Uusikaupunki and Pietarsaari and in Haapasaari. In the lakes, some minor and only a few amble blooms of blue-green algae have been observed. Strong winds are likely to restrain formation of blue-green algal blooms. More in Finnish
